The high speed VMCs are much faster in terms of the rapid traverses and the spindle speeds of the machine. Most of the machines models can be offered wit productivity enhancers such as coolant through spindle, automatic pallet changers (APC), and hydraulically or pneumatically actuated work-holding fixtures.
Based on the component material and cutting process, the motors are chosen to achieve the necessary optimum speed or torque. The machine design is optimized to consume lesser time for non-cutting processes.
High Speed Cartridge Spindle
The spindle which is considered as the heart of the machine is manufactured and assembled with utmost care. The VMC models have spindle tool shank sizes of BT30, BT40 or BT50.
For applications requiring higher tool clamping force HSK tapers (A50,A63 and A100) are also provided as an option.
The spindles are driven either directly or indirectly by AC spindle motors manufactures by FANUC or Siemens.
